Sticker Button in Photoshop

In this tutorial we will learn how to make stickers type button in Photoshop.

Step 1:
Create a new document (File -> New)
Width -> 400px
Height -> 400px
Background Contents -> white

Step 2:
Select “Ellipse Tool, and set color to #000000

Press and hold “Shift” key and draw a circular shape.

Step 3:
Right click and layer and select blending options. Now apply following layer styles.

Step 4:
Select “Polygonal Lasso Tool” and make following selection.

Right click on the layer and click “Rasterize layer”.

Than cut the selection from “Edit -> Cut”.
You can also cut from keyboard Ctrl + X

Step 5:
Create new layer (layer -> New -> Layer) and paste (Edit -> Paste). You can also paste from keyboard ctrl + V

Step 6:
New the shape will not have layer style that we applied in step 3. So, again apply all layer style that we have applied in step 3.

Step 7:
Transform this shape by 180 degree.
Go to: Edit -> Transform -> Transform by 180

It will now look like this.

Step 8:
Drag the new shape and place the shape as shown in below image.

Step 9:
Add some text on the sticker shape. Place this text layer just over the shape we created in step 2. Font color should be white.

Step 10:
Now we will add show shadow effect to make button more attractive. Add following layer style to shape that we created in step 2.

Cool Rounded Black Square Icon in Photoshop

In this tutorial we will learn how to make a cool rounded square icon. This is the final image of our icon.

Step 1:

Create a new document (File -> New) with following specification.

Width -> 400px
Height -> 400px
Background Contents -> white

Step 2:
Select “Rounded Rectangle Tool”. Press and hold and create shift key and draw a rounded square shape.

Color -> # 000000
Radius -> 10px

Step 3:

Apply following layer style from blending options.

Our button looks like this now.

Step 4:

Create a new document (File -> New).

Size: 4px X 4px
Background: Transparent
Zoom it and fill it with three color as shown in below image.

Now go to, edit -> define pattern. And save it as a pattern. You can give any name.

Step 5:
Return back to our original document. Press and hold ctrl button, and click on the rounded square shape layer. Thus only rounded rectangular shape will be selected.

Create a new layer. Select “Paint Bucket tool” and than select “Pattern” from drop down menu.

And than select the pattern we created in step 4.

Fill the layer with the pattern.

Step 6:
Create a new layer and make a selection like shown in below image.

Fill the selection by white color and set opacity to 10%.

Step 7:
Create a new layer. Select Rectangular shape tool. Set color to #000000 and make a shape like shown below.

Apply following layer style from blending options.

Step 8:
Create a new layer just above the layer we created in step 2. Select “Polygonal Lasso Tool” and make a selection like shown below.

Fill the selection with # 202020 color.

Follow same process for right side also.

Step 9:
Create new layer and add any custom shape or icon.

Spherical download button in Photoshop

In this Photoshop tutorial we will learn how to make a spherical download button.

This is final download button of our tutorial.

Step 1:

Create a new document, with following specifications.
Size: 400px X 400px
Background: white

Step 2:

Select “Ellipse Tool, and set color to #000000

Press and hold shift key and draw a circular shape.

Step 3:

Press and hold ctrl key and click the layer. Thus only circular shape will be selected.

Now go to:

Select -> Modify -> contract -> Contract by 2px.

Step 4:

Create new layer. Select gradient tool. Set foreground color to white. Also set following:

Press and hold shift key and drag mouse from lower selection little up.

Step 5:

Deselect the selection using ctrl + D

Select elliptical marquee tool and make a selection like this. Create new layer and again select gradient tool. Press and hold shift key and drag mouse from upper selection to lower selection

Deselect the selection using ctrl + D. Our button looks like this.

Step 6:

Select “Custom shape tool” and than select any arrow custom shape. Set color to # 044099 Create new layer and draw a arrow shape on the button.

Apply following blending options.

Design 3D menu bar in Photoshop

In this tutorial we lean how to create a 3D menu bar for website.

Final look of the menu bar is:

Step 1:

Create a new document (File -> New) with following specification.
Width -> 800px
Height -> 400px
Background Contents -> white

Step 2:

Select “Rounded Rectangle Tool” and create a wide rounded rectangular shape. Width should be of around 700px and height should be around 60px.

Color -> # 0c327f

Radius -> 10px

Step 3:

Apply following layer style to the rounded shape from blending options.

Step 4:

Select “Rectangular shape” and set color to # e3d215

Create small rectangular shapes on the previous rounded rectangular shape that we created in step 2 (as shown in below image).

Apply following layer style from blending options

Our menu bar looks like this:

Step 5:

Repeat step 4 to create more buttons. Move the alternate button up by about 5px (as shown in below image).

Step 6:

Press and hold “ctrl” key and click on the layer that we created in step 2. Thus only shape created in step will be selected.

Now, Go to:

Select -> Modify -> Contract -> Contract By 5px

Select “Rectangular Marquee Tool”. Press and hold “Alt” key and select lower half of live chat button. You will find that only upper half of the button is select.

Create a new layer (layer -> New -> Layer) and fill the selection with #ffffff color and set:

Layer mode: Soft light

Opacity: 80%

Fill 80%

Step 7:

Add some text on first button.

And add following layer style to text.

Repeat step 7 and add some text on each button.
